In May 2020, as the world stood still in fear and uncertainty, a spark was lit within us — a quiet, unshakable resolve to help. It began with a small group called the COVID-19 Warriors, with the support of Mr. Sunil Dhawan. What we were really building was a movement rooted in compassion, community, and courage.
We raised nearly ₹1 crore — not as an act of charity, but as an act of responsibility. We provided ventilators, oxygen concentrators, HFNC and BiPAP machines, glucometers, and PPE kits to our frontline warriors at Sion and Nair hospitals. My own clinic stayed open 24/7, serving whoever needed help — online, offline, always available.
But service, once started, doesn’t end. It expands. When we began this journey, we weren’t looking to build an organization; we were looking to build purpose. Our purpose was equitable and accessible healthcare for the underprivileged, because it is a basic right.
What started as a few helping hands soon grew into a collective movement — of compassion, dignity, and resilience. Whether it is supporting underserved communities, enabling healthcare access, or empowering the elderly and differently-abled, our work is driven by one principle: to serve with sincerity.
At Punya Kaarya Foundation, we believe “Hands that help are holier than lips that pray.” With the support of our Directors — Mr. Sunil Dhawan, Dr. Sanjeev Khosla, Mr. Bharat Kapoor and Mr. Jatin Sablok — and countless volunteers, we have extended our mission into healthcare, education, and awareness.
